Can't access FTP using "Map Network Drive".
Does anyone know why I can't access an FTP using "Map Network Drive" in Windows 7 Home Premium?
i'm trying to upload some files to
ftp://users.telenet.be but whenever I try to use "Map Network Drive" then click the link that says
'Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures'
and enter the adress of the ftp it says it's invalid, it's driving me crazy.

That's what I tried to do but it keeps telling me this "The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another.", while it is valid.

Just some more information:
So I can open the FTP in IE9 but when I press ALT -> "View" -> "open FTP in Windows Explorer" I get "This FTP site cannot be viewed in Windows Explorer".
In "Internet Options" -> "Advanced" both the "Enable FTP folder view" checkbox and "Use Passive FTP" are checked.

Base on my test, I successfully map your FTP site by using map network drive:
1 Click “Map network drive”
2 Click “Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures”
3 A windows will pop up and click “Next”
4 Next
5 Input
ftp://users.telenet.be
on the blank and click “Next”
6 Next
7 Next
8 Finish
When I want to access the FTP, it will prompt for user name and password. Since I haven’t it I cannot access, but the FTP is successfully mapped on my local
drive.

That's exactly what i'm trying to do but I keep getting "The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another."
message. I know there might be numerous things causing this issue, and i've tried alot of possible fixes but none of the things i've tried has resolved the issue.
I appreciate people trying to help, I don't wanna sound rude, but I don't need instructions on how to use "Map Network Drive" since it's working on another pc I tried it on. I need help trying to figure out why it isn't working on my pc.

Hi,
You can try to logon with Clean boot:
support.microsoft.com/kb/331796
And temporary disable firewall and antivirus program for test.
Furthermore, these articles may helpful to you:

You mentioned that it works ok in IE9 but not in Windows Explorer, what happens if you try to access another FTP connection using windows explorer?

telenet blocks all ports below 1000
deal with it ...
you can port forward it to a higher port to make it work. i don't know how to specify a custom port when using map network drive. what you can do is use filezilla...
